Look around online for cheap Guatemalan food places. Don't spend $20 on an easy to find restaurant when you can get just as much food for $8 from a place like Casa de Las Mixtas or Ricon Typico.
Average internet speed currently is either 5mps or 10mps down and 1mps up. Tigo seems to have the best coverage in the area usually LTE with some 3G. A 4gb prepaid monthly data plan is about $28 (199 GTQ). All you need is your passport and a trip to the Tigo store, though I did have SMS messages about needing a Guatemalan DPI (resident ID) after starting service. Had to go back to the store to make sure it wasn’t an issue (which it wasn’t).
